The Long Island Power Authority ("LIPA") has teamed with Stony Brook University ("Stony Brook" or "SBU") and Farmingdale State College ("Farmingdale" or "FSC"), two branches of the State University of New York ("SUNY"), to create a "Smart Energy Corridor." The project, located along the Route 110 business corridor on Long Island, New York, is demonstrating the integration of a suite of Smart Grid technologies from substations to end-use loads.
