The presentation was made at IEEE PES 2011 General Meeting Super Sessions in July, 2011, and describes the U.S. Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) mandate, FERC Order on smart grid interoperability standards, draft National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Framework and Roadmap, Release 2.0, and Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP).
