This DOE publication is one in a series of Smart Grid Introduction books designed to better acquaint regulator stakeholder groups with the promise and possibilities of the Smart Grid. The book aims to help regulators understand what the smart grid means to the regulators and the people they represent, and how a smarter grid can work harder and more efficiently to respond to the needs of all consumers, contain costs and enable clean-energy solutions at scale.
